40 year old host of ITV’s flagship show Love Island and UK celebrity Caroline Flack's sudden suicide has sent shockwaves through the interweb.
For those informed about the harmful effects of transgenderism, when they have spoken up about it and been threatened by trans activists with suicide, calling the refusal to use their preferred pronouns literal violence like I have, they know how something so serious can still be weaponised by abusers.
Using suicide as a threat, conflating a moment of sadness with clinical depression has always erroded public trust of a serious issue, this is one of the many reasons I started Get The L Out Asia, I noticed the high rates of abuse, possible mental illness and manipulation from trans activists.
In my 10 plus years volunteering as a mental health advocate, I have seen mental health stigma reduced significantly, I have also seen how mental illness and suicide continue to be romanticised through merchandising.
I can't tell you how many times I have verbalised my need for self care, reminded others of their own need to self care and have been accused of being selfish, greedy, busybody, pretending, immoral, weak or lazy.
This is how taboo mental illness and suicide currently is. I still see so many misconceptions flying around whenever celebrity suicide hits the news, this time is no different.
I still suffer the stigma of saying I was once suicidal, every armchair psychologist think they know more than someone who studied psychology officially and unofficially for 20 plus years to figure herself out.
Often my messages are buried under righteous indignation, nuances overshadowed by ill conceived moral outage, this is why we don't see many mental health advocates, even though millions suffer in the world, it's the thankless dirty work no one wants to do, a topic not many want to talk about.
Caroline Flack's ex-fiance Andrew Brady is now asking people to donate to Mermaids, a UK charity that despite many warnings by feminists, gender critical men and women alike, have chosen to ignore the possibility of undiagnosed autism, permanent sterilisation caused by puberty blockers and irreversible surgery that does nothing for their mental health.
Susie Green, who is chief executive of the transgender children’s charity Mermaids and whose child Jackie is born male and transitioned, also called Trans Identified Male (TIM) or commonly called Transsexual or a Transwoman, has been called an abuser, including someone with Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP), which manifests when a person acts as if an individual he or she is caring for has a physical or mental illness when the person is not really sick.
Feminists have spoken out about how gender nonconforming kids do not need to transition, we're all for being non conformists, not bodily harm, not tolerating abuse that causes ill mental health and not pushing teens into transition as a first resort.
In Mermaids's unyielding push to advocate transition as a solution for transgenders, they have blatantly ignored scientific research behind transgender's long term health, including suicide rates.
The most thorough follow-up of sex-reassigned people—extending over 30 years and conducted in Sweden, where the culture is strongly supportive of the transgendered—documents their lifelong mental unrest. Ten to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers.
Here’s how The Guardian summarised the results of a review of “more than 100 follow-up studies of post-operative transsexuals” by Birmingham University’s Aggressive Research Intelligence Facility:
The Aggressive Research Intelligence Facility], which conducts reviews of health care treatments for the [National Health Service], concludes that none of the studies provides conclusive evidence that gender reassignment is beneficial for patients. It found that most research was poorly designed, which skewed the results in favor of physically changing sex. There was no evaluation of whether other treatments, such as long-term counseling, might help transsexuals, or whether their gender confusion might lessen over time.
Dr. Paul McHugh, the university distinguished service professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, explains, "transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men. All (including Bruce Jenner) become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they ‘identify.’ In that lies their problematic future."
The Obama administration came to similar conclusions. In 2016, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services revisited the question of whether sex reassignment surgery would have to be covered by Medicare plans. Despite receiving a request that its coverage be mandated, it refused, on the ground that we lack evidence that it benefits patients.
In a discussion of the largest and most robust study—the study from Sweden that McHugh mentioned in the quote above—the Obama Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services pointed out the 19-times-greater likelihood for death by suicide, and a host of other poor outcomes.
Author Ryan T. Anderson of the book When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, writes, "the medical evidence suggests that sex reassignment does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically, and even in cultures that are relatively “trans-friendly,” transitioners still face poor outcomes."
Andrew Brady's support of Mermaids isn't a good sign when he himself has chosen to publicly shame Caroline Flack previously, by posting a NDA from her on his Instagram. Obviously he doesn't take her request for a NDA seriously, going public even with the NDA when it's usually a need for privacy that motivates a NDA in the first place.
The Ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant reportedly became abusive towards flack after smuggling alcohol into a spa complex in Portugal where it is banned. Staff at the A-list haunt allegedly threw him out after fellow guests complained about his behaviour.
Andrew Brady called an ambulance to her house saying she had threatened to kill herself in 2018. The ex-Apprentice star apparently grew concerned after yet another blazing row over the phone but sources close to Flack have accused the 28-year-old of making the call vindictively.
A source told Mail Online the episode as a 'non-event’ and an attempt by Brady 'to embarrass Caroline. Which it seems he has successfully achieved.'
'This is not the first time he has attempted something like this by any means,' they added.

If he knew about her being suicidal, why didn't he get her therapy? His now belated benevolence is pointless, he didn't even bother to check the credentials of the chosen charity, when a mental health charity for women would be more suitable anyhow.
A woman died and he chose to benefit a mixed sexed charity like Mermaids.
What I gathered from my last 4 years of speaking to both women and men about abuse is that many men who claim verbal or emotional abuse by women are actually entitled misogynistic men with double standards, entitled people feel hurt even if the tables are turned unequally, you can be far kinder to them but they feel justified dishing out the same behaviours they don't want to receive.
Flack had been accused of allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, last December – a trial that was due to start next month. None of this matters though: she had already received her sentence from the court of Twitter where any and everyone had an opinion on what happened. She was labelled everything from ‘bunny boiler’ to ‘dangerous’ on social media with many calling for her to be sent to jail before her case had even been heard.
Innocent until proven guilty might be the founding principal of our justice system but, in the online wilderness beyond the courtroom, there’s no such commitment to fairness or facts.
The damage to her reputation continued unabated even after she's dead, men also scapegoat feminists, conveniently skipping how Lewis Burton himself has been fiercely supportive of her, often sharing images of the pair together.
The court had heard that Lewis would not support the prosecution at trial and he repeatedly defended her on Instagram. After her arrest, he wrote on an Instagram story: ‘I’m tired of the lies and abuse aimed at my girlfriend. This is not a witch hunt this is someone’s life.’
I see the difference between social protection for Kobe Bryant and Caroline Flack, even when Lewis Burton cleared her name while Kobe reached a settlement, people asked Rachel Evan Wood and Gayle King to back down when they spoke about it, many made it about being untimely, they said "it's too soon after his death, let his family mourn", even after Snoop Dogg published a video issuing death threats against King and Oprah Winfrey, people condoned it.
When it came to Caroline Flack, I didn't see this happening at all, it was and still is open season for social justice handmaidens, misogynistic men and all in-between.
Men get the protection of the toxic brotherhood, women are sandwiched between aware handmaidens and clueless sock puppets, feminists are demonised as feminazi, man-haters, bitches and witches when we speak up, the media also favours men, people still wonder why I'm a huge advocate of self care.
The Daily Mail published close-up photographs of blood-spots on Flack’s pink front door, alongside a list entitled “A History of Flack’s Toyboy Lovers”. Painting Flack as a “cougar”, the implication was that she was somehow unbalanced, and that her charge of assault was an inevitable outcome of her unruly behaviour. Her penance.
It is of course impossible to know what happened, but the media’s treatment of Flack is sadly familiar and emblematic of a broader trend of treatment of female celebrities in and by the media, I’ve seen countless instances of the way that women – who have both talent and youth on their side and dare to date, dress glamorously and speak their minds – have been seen as a threat by the popular press, writes Beth Johnson, Associate Professor in Film and Media, University of Leeds, her work focuses closely on the media’s portrayal of gender.
White women, black women, the common denominator here is our sex, females are persecuted more harshly, exposed to more public scrutiny than men, whether she's on the accuser or accused end.
This is why feminism is needed, also why conflating sex with gender is fuelled by misogyny, it disadvantages women.
